Salaam, I’m Iman — the heart behind Toronto Muslimahs.

This platform was born during one of the most isolating chapters of my life. I had just moved to Toronto, newly married, and carrying a deep ache for sisterhood and connection. I longed to meet other Muslim women navigating similar stages of life — women who shared my values and who, like me, felt that “finding your people” shouldn’t be so hard.

So I made the thing I was searching for.

Toronto Muslimahs began as a small group chat and has since grown into a curated community of Muslim women across the GTA — a space for connection, conversation, and collective growth. It’s built on the belief that Muslim women deserve more than just events — we deserve intentional spaces where we can feel seen, supported, and inspired.

I’m still figuring it out in real time. Because life keeps shifting — and so do the spaces we need. This platform is meant to evolve with us, to hold space for the many roles we carry as Muslim women, and to grow alongside our stories.

I’m so glad you’re here. This community changed my life. I hope it does the same for you.
