Members Code of Conduct

Toronto Muslimahs is a curated community space—intentionally built to connect Muslim women across the GTA through meaningful conversation, real-life connection, and mutual respect.

By joining this space, you agree to uphold the following values and expectations. These guidelines are in place to protect the integrity of the space, the comfort of its members, and the experience we’re collectively creating.

  1. Strict No Solicitation or Self-Promotion: This is not a space to promote your business, services, social media pages, or events—unless explicitly invited by the admin team. Members using this community space to advertise or solicit will be removed without warning. If you're interested in partnerships or sponsorships, please reach out privately to discuss.

  2. External Links & Events: To maintain safety and clarity, we ask that you avoid posting outside links unless they’re shared within a dedicated thread or approved by admins. Unsolicited links, especially to external groups, apps, or events, may be deleted at our discretion.

  3. Harassment & Harm: We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment. This space is for every Muslim woman who aligns with the community’s purpose. If your behavior makes another member feel unsafe or unwelcome, you may be removed immediately.

  4. Faith-Rooted, Not Faith-Policed: We are a space for Muslim women of all levels of practice. While this community is faith-conscious and inspired by Islamic values like modesty, kindness, and sincerity, we are not here to enforce religious interpretation. No debates. No belittling. Mutual respect is non-negotiable.

  5. Contribute Thoughtfully: Whether you're deeply involved or quietly present, we ask that you show up with good energy. Use trigger/content warnings for sensitive topics, avoid trauma dumping, and be mindful of emotional boundaries. This is a shared space—please treat it with care.

  6. Event Attendance & Cancellations: If you RSVP to a paid member-only event and can no longer attend, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance. Two or more no-shows without notice may affect your access to future events. Space is limited, and your spot matters.

  7. Privacy & Confidentiality: Screenshots, forwarded messages, or reposting member content without consent is strictly prohibited. What’s shared here, stays here.

Violations & Accountability

We operate on a 3-strike system:
1st Violation: Friendly reminder + guidance
2nd Violation: Formal warning
3rd Violation: Removal from the community (no refund)

In serious cases, immediate removal may occur.

Respect the Intentionality

This community was built to create space for something deeper—sisterhood, not surface-level networking. We’re here to grow, connect, and support each other from a place of sincerity and trust.

If you ever witness a breach of this Code of Conduct, you can report it privately and anonymously. Every report is taken seriously and handled with care.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Membership Fees:
All membership fees are non-refundable. Please ensure the space aligns with you before applying.
In rare cases (such as administrative errors), refunds may be issued at our discretion.

Events & Experiences:
For paid member-only events, cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance may be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable due to limited capacity and vendor commitments.

Other Products or Services:
Additional offerings may include separate refund policies, clearly stated at the time of purchase.
